PQ's Shanda/Sylvia & Chilly Chill interviews Mrs. Jemeker Thompson-Hairston, who once was considered a "Queen Pin" as a notorious drug dealer in the 80's. After serving 12 years of a 15-year sentence, Jemeker was released from prison in February 2005, and has completely changed her life, and is giving back and helping others. The BET hit series "AMERICAN GANGSTER" later offered to profile her story. Mrs. Hairston is now founder of Second Chance Ministries (SCEM). SCEM also birthed "SCEM Inmate Pen Pal Program for Women" which offers female inmates the opportunity to build positive relationships by staying connected to the "outside." Based on a true story, Mrs. Hairston has since picked up a publishing deal through Grand Central Publishing, in which her book "Queen Pin" is based on her true life story.
